Scenic, Blue Flag Kos Marina
The Kos Marina has been awarded the Blue Flag every consecutive year since its opening in 2001. This is where many guests of Kos moor their boats, enjoying excellent conditions and facilities at competitive prices.
Blue Flag Every Year Since 2001
Kos Marina has been committed to environmental protection since its opening in 2001. It has received Blue Flag awards every year for its compliance with coastal environment, water quality, safety, and access for all protocols. It is one of the only four marinas in Greece to receive the award. The other Greek Blue Flag marinas are in Leros, Lavrio (Olympic Marine), and Flisvos (Palaio Faliro).
Kos Marina Facilities
Kos Marina is a safe harbor. It offers 250 berths with mooring lines, water supply, electricity supply, telephone connection, and satellite TV. All piers have fire stations with fire extinguishers. Camera surveillance adds a plus of safety but does not replace the human factor, as guards are patrolling the premises 24/7.
Other facilities at Kos Marina include meeting rooms and business services, guest suites, information center, luggage storage, postal services, fuel stations, parking lots, pilot speedboat, WCs and showers, bank ATM, and more. A shopping center with cafe and restaurant offers fresh food, safety equipment, souvenirs, and goods for yacht owners. Yacht brokers, yachting and travel agencies are on site as well. The marina supermarket is well stocked with a variety of local wines, oils, and cupboard essentials.
The boat yard at Kos Marina has a dry storage area adequate for 150 yachts. An extensive range of services, including repairs and yacht cleaning are available upon request.
Events for Tourists
Kos Marina is not a destination exclusive to boat and yacht owners. There are many events for all kinds of tourists hosted here: sausage and beer parties, Easter festivities with traditional food, dance parties, first aid seminars, boat races and festivities, boat shows, and much more.
