The 15th of August traditional feast in Antimachia village
Every year on the 15th of August when Orthodox Greeks celebrate the Day of Assumption of the Virgin Mary, a feast is organized in the yard of the Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin in Antimachia, Kos. The residents of Antimachia and the surrounding villages, as well as many foreign visitors to Kos, who have a keen interest in getting to know the customs and customs of the island, participate in this traditional feast.
Around the church there are several merchants, selling spoon sweets, soft drinks and toys for young children. The parish of the village of the Assumption of the Virgin offers delicious food and servings for a small fee.
